Being the Light for the City of Lights

There is so much death.  The world is dying.  We need a savior.
The events in Paris have made me consider the fragility of life.  We are here for a moment and then gone.  People who lose their life often have no warning.  They leave their life just as they were born to it, with nothing.  They must leave everything as it is.  What would your life look like if you had to leave it today?
Tragedy haunts us.  It jolts us out of the everyday.  But will it change us?  Will we allow it to change our life?

I have decided to be more positive.  I don't want an argument to be among my last words.
I'll enjoy the little things and make the most of what I've been given.  I'll have no regrets.  Life moves forward not backward.
Live every day as though it were your last.  You never know when it may be.
When the city of lights is dark, we can be the light.

  1. This was a really encouraging post to me Elizabeth! Being more upbeat, more positive, and less of a kill-joy are something I have been working very hard on this year. I want to be someone who brings joy to others lives. If they're not saved this would be in the form of the Savior. I love your last sentence, "When the city of lights is dark, we can be the light." Thanks for sharing!
